1. who we are

KaijuSort is operated by BrownSun Group. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our digital asset management platform.

2. what we collect

Account information: email address and password (hashed) when you sign up.

Your files: media files you upload, stored at original quality on our infrastructure (Bunny.net CDN).

Usage data: actions you take in the app (uploads, deletes, tag edits) for activity history and debugging. We do not track browsing behavior outside of KaijuSort.

AI-generated metadata: tags automatically generated by our AI tagging system to describe your media content.

3. how we use your data

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Store and serve your files back to you
• Generate AI tags for your media (processed via third-party AI APIs — file previews are sent; originals are not)
• Send transactional emails (job completion, account changes)
• Enforce storage quotas and billing

4. what we never do

• We never sell your personal information or file data
• We never use your files to train AI models
• We never compress or modify your original files
• We never share your files with other users unless you explicitly enable sharing
• We never serve ads or use tracking pixels

5. third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate KaijuSort:

• Supabase — authentication and database (your account data, file metadata)
• Bunny.net — file storage and video streaming (your uploaded files)
• OpenAI — AI tagging (receives image previews, not originals)
• Vercel — application hosting
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Stripe — payment processing (billing details, subscription and payment records)

Each provider processes data according to their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

6. data storage & security

Your files are stored on Bunny.net's global CDN infrastructure. Account data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL). All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use row-level security (RLS) to ensure users can only access their own data.

7. data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete all your files and personal data within 30 days. Activity logs are purged with your account. We may retain anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., total storage used across all users) indefinitely.

8. your rights

You have the right to:

• Access all data we hold about you
• Download your original files at any time
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Correct inaccurate account information
• Object to processing of your data

9. cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking.

10. changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
